Ibarapa-kan Organises Essay Competition for Senior Pupils
In an initiative aimed at fostering educational development and civic engagement among youth, the Member of the House of Representatives for Ibarapa Central & North Federal Constituency has launched an essay competition exclusively for senior secondary school pupils within the constituency.
The competition promises a host of exciting benefits for the winner. The successful teenager will enjoy free return flights from Ibadan to the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja. Additionally, they will receive two days of free accommodation and meals in Abuja.
One of the standout rewards is the unique opportunity to be a “lawmaker for a day.” The winner will be awarded a certificate indicating their one-day status as a lawmaker and will have the honor of sitting on the official chair of the House of Representatives member representing Ibarapa Central/North Federal Constituency. They will even have access to the green pen used to make decisions for the constituents in Ibarapa Central and Ibarapa North.
Furthermore, the winner will witness a live plenary session of the House of Representatives and gain practical knowledge of the legislative process through the guidance of the Senior Legislative Aide (SLA) to Hon. (Dr.) Anthony Adebayo Adepoju.
Applicants are reminded not to include their names, towns, or schools in the content of their essays to ensure impartiality in the judging process. This competition represents a significant opportunity for young people in the constituency to engage with the legislative process and gain firsthand experience in governance.
